There's more to it than just "staying positive".

Ever find it really frustrating when things just aren't going your way, and theres always that one really positive friend (so positive they're almost annoying) comes to you with "Stay positive" but you're being realistic, and it's not your fault you've had a series of unfortunate events happen and you just don't wanna get your hopes up and need to vent. That's totally okay, let me help you retrain you mind to get out of that negative mindset.

The simplest way you can start is by remembering - What you put out, you get back - your reactions, your thoughts, your feelings are all energy. So when certain situtions are presented to us, the way percive them and how we react is energy that we put out and the universe sends it right back to us.
Now i'm not saying you have to pretend to be happy all the time, because sometimes really traumatic things in life happen and its okay to be upset and not be too hard on yourself when these situations do come about and I don't recommend pretending to be okay if you need help, always reach out so somone if you do. Let's talk about things that help day to day, and can spiral into a string of positive events that just makes life that bit more exciting!
My favourite subject, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT! It's quite frankly a big umberella and theres not one thing more important than another, a series of little things you can incorporate into your day to day life that have a huge impact.
Feeding the brain with the right stuff and being aware of negative things that are going in. So these two things go together, be awarwe of the news channels, radio stations, people you follow, articles you read. if any of those are setting a negative tone it can have a bigger impact than you think. So we cut out 'neggy nora' vibes. Read positive books, life stories, life coaches or listen to their podcasts. Things like this are super helpful!
Make daily gratitude a habit. It's really good to have a gratitude journal, somebody once said to me " If you can't think of 5 things to be grateful for, write down 10.". Daily gratefuls can be anything from warm fluffy socks, to health anything you can think of that if you didn't have you would feel that bit less unfortunate. This helps us appriciate everything.. and not forgetting - what we put out, we get back ! - So being grateful everyday brings us more things in our path to feel happy about.
Stay in a high vibration... I'll go into this subject another time, but in a nutshell do things that make you happy!
Percepetion of love - This one can be very difficult, no matter how many times you've practiced this there are always situations testing us. Sometimes we're literally tested, and want to kick off, shout, scream get angry etc etc, and as much as we want to do it at the time it never really get us anywhere and never feel good. Don't let the situation of what is happening bring out a bad untrue side to you, take the high road. Try and view this situation with love instead of anger, this doesn't make you weak it makes you strong, before reacting or replying come from a place of empathy and understanding. You can still have boundaries and come from a place of love.
